We’ve had a great start to the season! The All Play all social on a Thursday has 24 people each week playing an organised round robin in groups of 8, with the winners earning the coveted APA Trophy and others avoiding the spoon… We even had a Wimbledon Finals Day APA and Kerry, Sue, Tony and Kevin all won prizes on the sweepstake!
The coaches organised a fab charity day in aid of the Tim Henman foundation which supports the Frank Wise coaching programme for disability tennis run at the club each week. This raised around £1600 which is absolutely fantastic – thank you to all involved.
We were incredibly lucky to have another wonderful weather day for the annual Open Day and were able to showcase the club in all its glory! There was cardio, serve speed gun and tennis for all available.
The Squash courts have been given a facelift and we now can proudly use our brand new flooring. It’s great the courts are back in action and there are squash camps for the kids in summer and junior coaching scheduled for September.
The tennis coaching team also have some excellent summer tennis camps scheduled in for dates in the summer for all ages. – see events….
