BWE C had a very windy, hard fought victory over Harbury B. Chris Duffy and Craig Baldwin won 6-5, Chris and Paul Fuller won 7-4 but Craig and Paul lost 4-7. For the ladies Karen Symonds and Viv Cudahy won 7-4, Karen and Jenny Dahlman won 7-4 and Viv and Jenny won 6-5. First mixed

In the first summer match of the 2026 season BWE Ladies drew 4-4 with Brackley B. Anna Haynes and Jenny Tucker at 1st pair lost to the very strong Brackley 1st pair 2-6, 1-6 but beat the 2nd pair 6-0, 6-1. Karen Brooker and Andi Padbury at 2nd pair also lost to the Brackley 1st

BWE Ladies lost 0-8 to Abingdon in extremely difficult and windy conditions. Anna Haynes and Daughter Amy lost 1-6, 6-7 to the Abingdon 1st pair and 3-6, 2-6 to the 2nd pair. Jacqui Skevington and Andi Padbury lost 2-6, 0-6 to the Abingdon 1st pair and 4-6, 2-6 to the 2nd pair

BWE Mixed suffered a 1-7 defeat to top of the table Warwick. The West End men Bertie Fawcett Shapland and Ricard Prew halved 3-6, 6-4 but the ladies Jenny Tucker and Andi Padbury lost 0-6, 2-6. First mixed Bertie and Jenny lost 6-7, 2-3 whilst Richard and Andi lost 6-7, 3-6

BWE Floodlight C team just lost 3-5 to Byfield C. The West End ladies Kathy Godfrey and Viv Cudahy lost 4-6, 3-6 whilst the men Chris Duffy and Paul Fuller halved 6-1, 6-7. First mixed Kathy and Chris halved 7-5, 3-6 with 2nd mixed Viv and Paul also halving 3-6, 6-3

BWE Floodlight A team had a magical 8-0 victory over Brackley B which was a marvellous send off for team mate Katherine Davenport before she departs on her indefinite international travels.
