Club Finals Day 2023.
We reintroduced the Club Tournament back to the Tennis Club for the 2023 Summer season!  After a summer of tournament matches, we reached finals day on Sunday 17th September.
First up, were the Men’s singles and the Ladies doubles!
Paul Barnes and Miles Harley had an epic battle with Paul triumphing in the deciding set championship tiebreak. In the Ladies Doubles, Karen Brooker and Andi Padbury played brilliantly to beat Anna Haynes and Thea Ingram.
The mixed doubles followed and again Paul Barnes was in action. This time he played with Anna Haynes. Together, they beat Sean Pettitt and Karen Brooker in a closely fought match, which again was won on a championship tiebreak.
The final match of the day was the Men’s Doubles Final where Paul Barnes played with Sean Pettitt against Miles Harley and Rob Snaddon.  During a rain drenched match, Miles and Rob won in the championship tiebreak.
